The Tacoma Community College volleyball team won three matches and lost two at the NWAACC Championship on Nov. 15-18 in Gresham, Ore.
The Titans topped Olympic 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21 in their opener on Nov. 15, as Brandee Victorino led the way with 10 kills while Anitaka Knight added nine kills. Taylor Brooks had 23 assists, while Jayme Jacinto led the defensive effort with 10 digs.
But the Titans were topped 14-25, 20-25, 21-25 by Walla Walla on Nov. 16, as Ellen Anderson led the way for TCC with 11 kills and Brooks again had 23 assists.
The Titans then won 25-22, 25-19 over Chemeketa later in the day in the consolation bracket, and beat Highline 25-17, 25-21 on Nov. 17. But the Titans fell 19-25, 20-25 to Mount Hood, as Anderson had nine kills, Brooks had 16 assists and 10 digs and Jacinto added 10 digs for TCC.
The Titans finished the season with a 27-11 overall record, with an 8-4 mark in regional play.
