Tacoma schools, led by Bellarmine Prep with four first-team selections, were well represented on the All Narrows League football team. Desmond Trufant of Wilson was named first team on both offense and defense.
Tacoma players who were among the selections on the first-team offense were Luke Schindele, quarterback of Bellarmine Prep; running backs Ronald Baines of Mt. Tahoma and Trufant of Wilson. Jeff King of Bellarmine Prep and Desmond Petty of Stadium were named to the offensive line. Folauga Perosi of Foss was named first-team tight end.
The second team included junior running backs Julian Cruell of Foss and sophomore Jordan Russell of Lincoln. Theo Solomon of Lincoln and Luv St. Ande of Foss were named to the second-team offensive line, and all three second-team wide receivers were from Tacoma, including Allen Brown and Jamal Byrd of Foss and Tyler Tryon of Stadium.
Tacoma schools landed five players on the first-team defense. Andy Fuller, a defensive lineman, and Beau Baldassin, a linebacker, represented Bellarmine.
Trufant of Wilson was named as a defensive back. John Barr of Mt. Tahoma and Drew Reynolds of Foss were named as defensive linemen.
The second-team defense included Donta Harris of Mt. Tahoma, Jordan Rhett of Bellarmine, Scott Crichton of Foss, Brandon Taft of Bellarmine, Denzzel Martin of Stadium, Sheldon Pyke of Foss, Kerry Stable of Lincoln and Nick Truckey of Bellarmine.
Schindele and Cruell were named to the first-team special teams, as punter and returner. Stadium's Dominick Vazzare was named to the second team as a punter.

Stadium boys battle Decatur
The Stadium High School boys basketball team began its season against Decatur and battled hard before losing 59-48 on Dec. 1. Good, aggressive defense kept the scoring low, particularly in the first quarter, when the Tigers led 10-8. But Decatur outscored Stadium 15-9 in the second period and gradually built a 12-point lead and kept the Tigers at bay in the second half.
Senior Zach Meikle led the Tigers with 14 points.
Stadium girls lose to Woodinville
Woodinville forced 13 first-quarter turnovers as the Falcons jumped out to a 33-1 lead in the first quarter en route to a 72-13 non-league victory over Stadium on Dec. 1.
The Falcons built a 24-0 lead before Stadium's Emma Raisl converted a free throw to break the drought. Woodinville's defense forced Stadium into 28 turnovers on the night.
Senior Adrienne Mendoza led the Tigers (0-1) with five points.
Richards rolls 436
Amanda Richards of Wilson's bowling team rolled a team-leading 436 series, although the Rams got squeezed out by Shelton, 2048 to 1972 on Dec. 2.
