In a game full of scoring chances, it was Jesus Perez's diving header in the 63rd minute that gave Foss a wild 3-2 win over Wilson at Stadium Bowl tonight, helping boost the Falcons' chance at the district playoffs.

Foss got several good looks early, but Wilson got on the board first after Munassar Saleh was taken out in the box in the 11th minute. Oswald Ramos' resulting penalty kick was deflected out by Foss keeper Sergio Barajas, but Andres Coronado was there to send in the deflection to make it 1-0.

Saleh had a shot hit the post in the 27th minute, while Foss' Rene Ramos…

Brady O’Keefe threw a complete-game five-hitter and Thomas Narisahn went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as the Rams punched their ticket to the district tournament with a 7-1 win, ending the Falcons’ season in the process.

The Rams now await the loser of the North Thurston-Shelton game – played on Wednesday – with the winner of that game claiming the third seed to District play next Tuesday through Saturday. The Rams will play the winner…

Oswald Ramos struck for a goal less than a minute after halftime to help Wilson stay in first place in the Narrows 3A with a 1-0 win over Mount Tahoma last night.

“They definitely battled hard,” said Wilson interim head coach Dominick Cusato. “They’re a good team and they’ve been winning games lately. We just outworked them. We just wanted it more. It’s a testament to the boys.”

The Thunderbirds created most of the pressure early, getting the game’s first good look in the 15th minute when Cesar Ramirez’s shot deflected off the crossbar and was grabbed by Rams…
