The Sideline

United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has released the 30-man roster for the Men's 2014 World Cup and three Seattle Sounders - including former Sounders U-23 standout - DeAndre Yedlin have made the squad.

The 20-year old Yedlin is a graduate from Seattle's O'Dea high school and spent the 2012 season with the Sounders U-23 (formerly Tacoma Tide) - helping lead the club to the Western Conference championship in the Premier Development League.

Since being signed by the Seattle Sounders, Yedlin has appeared in 42 matches for the MSL club.

Klinsmann also named the Sounders'…

The Sounders U-23 FC fought its way through a rough first twenty of soccer Monday night May 5 at Sumner's Sunset Chevrolet Stadium. Having just a couple of weeks of practice under their kits, the team looked a little off-balanced and unfamiliar with each other.

Twenty was all it took though, as the Sounders began a constant assault on the Western Washington University goal and dictated the flow for most of the remainder of the game.

Coming into the game the visiting Vikings had already played four matches in their spring club schedule and at first-whistle looked sharper and seemed…

While Gamache lost his radar giving up three runs in both the second and nine innings, TCC would strand 12 runners, including leaving the bases loaded in both the fifth and the eigth innings.

But they're going to need some help to stay there.

Heading into the match, Foss trailed Wilson by two points in the overall standings 24-22 (3 points for victories and 1 point for ties) and even with a win they knew they might need some help from other teams over the remaining schedule as a quirk in the…

The Wilson boys got a taste of the rear-view-mirror Monday night at Stadium Bowl as the North Thurston Rams scored the first Narrows League goals against them so far this season.

North Thurston midfielder Ben Hassan got behind the back-right of the Wilson defense and capitalized on a one-on-one opportunity with Goalkeeper Alek Greenleaf and drove the 50/50 ball into the back of the net. It was the first time Wilson had trailed in 3A Narrows action through 6 contests.

After several near-misses, thirteen minutes later Wilson gained the equalizer when forward Kenneth Bwanika pushed…
