We at Pierce County Community Newspaper Group were saddened to learn this week of the death of Rosa Duran, our former co-worker. Duran, 29, worked for our newspapers earlier this

year as an advertising representative. She had a career as a real estate agent and was working at Alliance Real Estate. She was murdered in her home in Summit on Dec. 5. She was the mother of a 1-year-old son.

We offer our condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed.
