You shop, lives change this weekend at RAGS sale

So it might not be the most practical gown at the ball, but it's a smash hit in RAGS gallery this year. Young RAGS artist Hana Laya McAdam shows us a new spin on the little black dress.

The 19th annual RAGS Wearable Art Sale and Gallery starts this evening with a ticketed gala preview and continues through the weekend at Larson's Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma in Fife. The juried sale of handmade jewelry, clothing and accessories supports the domestic violence prevention and intervention programs of the YWCA Pierce County.

This weekend's schedule:
Thursday, March 7: Gala Preview, 6 - 9 pm (still a few tickets available at RAGSWearableArt.org. Tickets not available at the door.)
Friday, March 8: Sale and gallery viewing, open to public, 10 am - 6 pm
Saturday, March 9: Sale and gallery viewing, open to public, 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday, March 10: Sale and gallery viewing, open to public, 10 am - 4 pm

Photos of RAGS merchandise and of the sale itself can be found at RAGSWearableArt.orgor on the RAGS Facebook page.
