Stadium High secured after student brings firework to school

A Stadium High student found himself expelled and arrested this morning after he was found on campus with a homemade firework.

The boy was reportedly showing the alleged explosive to another student when someone alerted a teacher and prompted a call to Tacoma's bomb squad.

The 2,000 students at school this morning were evacuated to the school's performing arts center during a campus sweep which found no other devices. The students were returned to class.
