Puyallup River Bridge inspections set for Sunday

This just in from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT): Continued bridge inspection activities will require WSDOT crews to close the northbound State Route 167 Puyallup River Bridge for six hours, from 6 a.m. to noon, on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Sunday’s closure is a change from a previous WSDOT announcement in which closures were scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday. Since then crews have determined that they can complete the bridge inspection in one day. Sunday was chosen because of its lower traffic volumes.
During the northbound bridge closure, SR 167 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and both directions of traffic will be routed over the parallel southbound SR 167 bridge.
