‘Out With God’ to be a highlight of Pride Weekend in Tacoma

This weekend Tacoma celebrates Pride Weekend, and one of the highlights will be the "Out With God" Ecumenical Worship and Potluck Brunch on July 13. This 6th annual event will take place at First United Methodist Church at 621 Tacoma Ave. S. beginning with the potluck brunch at 10 a.m. followed by the ecumenical service at 11. The service will be led by clergy of various denominations from throughout Tacoma. Music will be shared by sax, cello, piano and vocal soloists.
Bringing greetings on behalf of the City of Tacoma will be the Hon. Ryan Mello, member of the Tacoma City Council. Sharing will be Tacoma's former mayor and current school board member, the Hon. Karen Vialle. 
Parking is available in front of the church on Tacoma Avenue South and also behind the Tacoma School District headquarters at South 7th and G streets.
