Murray Morgan Bridge to close temporarily

The newly rededicated Murray Morgan Bridge will be closed to traffic and pedestrians from Feb. 21 to Feb. 25 for repairs.

During the bridge commissioning and balancing period since reopening earlier this month, the contractor discovered an issue that will require closing the bridge completely for a weekend.

They will also replace the bearings on the port approach pier that were delayed as a result of fabrication issues. With two-hour notification, the bridge will still be able to open for marine traffic during this time period.
