Make wearable art for a good cause

On Saturday, June 22, the incredibly talented Linda Danforth will be holding three jewelry classes with proceeds going to benefit Peace Out. Peace Out is an after school program established to teach youth the importance of civic engagement and social responsibility. Its mission is to create the next generation of leaders, doers and philanthropists. Peace Out believes that our youth have a unique capacity to make a difference in their community and should be empowered, rewarded and encouraged to do so.
This fundraiser is appropriate for ages 10 and beyond of all skill levels (adult supervision for students under 14 please).
At noon, learn how to make adjustable cord bracelets and anklets, at 1 p.m. craft simple beaded earrings, and at 2 p.m. make your own copper wire rings.
All classes are $30 each and include an hour of instruction and all materials needed and your creations. Class will be held at Nine Lives Vintage former location at 3013 6th Ave.
