In our next edition we'll be previewing Tacoma singer-songwriter Stephanie Anne Johnson's Dec. 28 date at Jazzbones. But well before she headlines there you'll be able to see her tonight and/or tomorrow on NBC-TV's “The Voice.”
The Pacific Lutheran University alumnus put up the good fight before she was eliminated a few episodes ago; and she was getting ready to fly back to Los Angeles to tape the finale when we caught up with her last week.
“There are a couple of people from the show that I really felt a kinship with,” she said, “ and I'm really excited to see them – especially the folks on Team Christina. We were a big deal this year. I think we were some of the most talented folks to ever come out of 'The Voice.'”
You can't say the lady lacks confidence. At Jazzbones, she'll play cuts from her new CD “Hollatchegurl” and select covers she rocked on the show. Ticket info is available on the club's web site.
