Lindquist’s Signed Book and Wine Auction fundraiser to feature local authors including Ann Rule

Local and nationally-known authors along with notable wines will be featured in the fourth annual Signed Book and Wine Auction fundraiser for Prosecutor Mark Lindquist's re-election campaign. This signature social event will be held at King's Books, 218 St. Helens Ave., in Tacoma on Thursday, July 11 at 5 p.m.
Last year's event brought a surprise guest, author Maria Semple, who wrote the New York Times bestseller, "Where'd You Go, Bernadette." Semple is expected to return for this year's event, along with other authors whose books will be auctioned off during the fundraiser, including true crime writer Ann Rule and some surprise guests.
Aside from authors, local public officials typically attend, including Congressmen Adam Smith and Derek Kilmer, Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland, Sheriff Paul Pastor, Detective Ed Troyer and others.
"This is a chance to have a good time and support our Prosecutor who's doing a great job for the community," said Troyer, who is speaking at the event. "In law enforcement, we appreciate the aggressiveness and professionalism of our Pierce County Prosecutor's Office."
Donations to the campaign are encouraged. Food, wine, and beer are provided.
Elected as our Pierce County Prosecutor in 2010 with over 60 percent of the vote, Lindquist stands for re-election in 2014.
