The City of Tacoma is selling the former Sector Four Police Substation, located at 3524 McKinley Avenue. This sale does not impact the operations of the current Stewart Heights Substation located at 400 E. 56th St.
The city is selling the property by a “Request for Proposal” to sell the site in a way that would will improve and enhance the McKinley Hill area and the Eastside Neighborhood as a whole by taking into account the future uses of the property with respect to the neighborhood and the city’s goals, as well as the monetary consideration offered.
The 26,000-square-foot parcel and a 6,500-square-foot building at the site are valued at $832,000. The building was constructed in 1941 and bought by the city in 1994. It was renovated at the time and upgraded in 1998.
