Audio: Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan on why he hates the term “super-group”

If you read Friday's edition you saw our interview with Seattle boy Duff McKagan, a guy you might know from a couple of obscure, little bands called Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver. The superstar bassist will be at Tacoma's Jazzbones on Friday, March 29, with his new super-group Walking Papers, which also features the Screaming Trees' Barrett Martin and Jeff Angell and Ben Anderson of the Missionary Position.

Thing is, McKagan can't stand the term “super-group.” But he better get used to is since, on top of Velvet Revolver and Missionary Position, Rolling Stone has reported that there may be another super-group that may be growing out of his latest super-group.
