Marilyn Manson. Slipknot. GWAR. A gang of ghoulishly theatrical rockers have followed in his wake. But Alice Cooper – the main attraction Sunday at the Emerald Queen Casino's I-5 showroom – is still the king of shock rock.
I interviewed the rock legend (born Vincent Damon Furnier) for a story that will run in this week's edition. But for those who can't wait, here's an interview outtake with Alice breaking down his Raise the Dead Tour and reminiscing about boozing with his famous drinking buddies, the Hollywood Vampires. But the interview took place the day after election day, and he started by asking me about how Washingtonians legalized the whacky tobacky. [Accompanying photo by Ross Halfin.]
