Crystal Voyage is a truly one-of-a-kind shop in Tacoma. Bringing together alternative health practitioners and similar businesses, the establishment offers customers an array of methods to get more in tune with their bodies and souls.

The Crystal Voyage opened in 1987 and moved to its current location near Freighthouse Square in 2004. The store has been holding its Intuitive Healing and Arts fairs the first weekend of every month since they re-opened, hosting a total of 40 or so fairs thus far.

Owner of the Crystal Voyage, Crystal Stone, believes that there was a need for an event like the fairs in the area, and she filled it by starting them up. “Our customers had asked for something like that, but we didn’t have room in the old store. It has a place here because it was missing. People that come from other areas are surprised. People expect it in Olympia because of Evergreen (State College) and in Seattle because it’s a bigger city,” Stone said.

The event is most assuredly benefited by the space in which it takes place at the store. Offering up books, oils, cards, artwork, crystals, altarpieces and more, the Crystal Voyage is a place that is calming, comforting and giving simultaneously. “The store is a place where people of different spiritual inclinations can come. It’s open to all religious faiths and is a searching-for-your-soul sort of place. We made it beautiful, relaxing and calming,” stated Stone.

In addition to providing an impressive selection of special interest products, Crystal Voyage also houses many specialists. The upper floor of the building is where massage therapists, practitioners who serve individuals interested in hypnotherapy, herbalists, counselors as well as others practicing in physical, mental and spiritual health arenas keep shop.

The Intuitive and Healing Arts fairs will offer visitors a vast assortment of new and atypical, potentially life-altering experiences. Reiki, a form of Japanese meditation and healing using hands, aura photography and intuitive readers will all be available to partake in.

“They will include lots of things people may not be exposed to… it’s a very valid thing and an understanding that we can’t always see or feel. It’s nice to have someone validate (one’s) concerns and emotional level, and make changes to the physical body on that level if you need,” affirmed Stone. A majority of the individuals on-hand at the event do readings and they have plenty of experience in them. There will also be chair massages, where individuals can choose from one of five massage therapists to address personal back needs. All aspects of physical, mental and spiritual modalities are to be addressed at Crystal Voyage.

Anyone who has issues with their own health or wellbeing might be guided in the right direction after stepping into the building. The Northwest Academy of Healing Arts is located in the building and thus affirms that there are many methods of restoration taking place, such as aromatherapy, cranial-sacral and reflexology.

Stone knows first-hand how her shop has helped countless individuals on their journeys. “No matter what frame of mind (people are in) when they walk in, they always say ‘thank you I feel so much better’ when they leave. Some people don’t need a practitioner to help, but rather benefit from just having someone listen to them.”

The Intuitive and Healing Arts fair will take place July 11-12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Crystal Voyage, which is located at 2601 E. ‘D’ St., #201 near Tacoma Dome. For more information, call (253) 272-4367 or visit www.crystalvoyage.com.
