Peter Frampton rose to prominence at age 18 as a member of Humble Pie. This legendary rock guitarist will perform at Pantages Theater at 7:30 p.m. on March 23. The concert will feature a complete performance of his blockbuster solo album “Frampton Comes Alive!” Tickets are $59, $79, $89 and $119.
Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe. In “The Complete World of Sports (Abridged),” in 90 minutes they cover every sport from every continent ever played. They will perform at Rialto Theater at 7:30 p.m. on March 23. Tickets are $29 and $39.
Comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham brings his “Controlled Chaos” tour to Tacoma Dome at 8 p.m. on March 24. He will bring his popular puppets including Walter the grumpy retiree, Bubba the beer-swilling NASCAR fan and Achmed the dead terrorist. Tickets are $45.
Dave Graham, a central and well-loved figure in Tacoma’s music/film/art community, has been recently diagnosed with stage four melanoma. He had to quit his day job and has been undergoing treatment and medication. To help Graham pay for these medical treatments, a benefit is being held at The Swiss on April 1 from 3-9 p.m. Live music by James Hilborne and The Painkillers, Snak Pak, Bandolier, Mr. Blackwatch and China Davis (acoustic). DJ Melodica and Darren Selector will be spinning between bands. There will also be a showing of the movie “A Glitch in the System” starring Graham, and a movie poster signing along with awesome raffle prizes and a live auction at 7:30 p.m. Host/Emcee: Doug Mackey. $5 suggested donation at the door. Tacoma Symphony Orchestra presents “Pops: Hollywood’s Greatest Melodies” at Pantages Theater, 2:30 p.m. on March 25. Soprano Diane Penning is the guest star. Songs from movies such as “Mary Poppins,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “West Side Story” will be performed. Tickets are $24, 42, $62 and $77.
