SCREENING OF ‘BUDRUS’
“Budrus,” a film about Israelis joining residents of a Palestinian village in their effort to re-route the proposed Separation Wall, will be shown at Temple Beth El (5975 S.12th St) on Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. The film follows a growing group of Palestinians who are joined by Israelis in their effort to save the village from being crisscrossed by the wall. Success eludes them until a 15-year-old Palestinian girl jumps into the fray. Sponsored by the Tacoma chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace. SENIORS MONTH AT NORTHWEST TREK
Seniors aged 65 or older will receive special half-price general admission at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park throughout the month of September.
