From gardener to midwife, fisherman t o puppeteer, "Hands at Work" chronicles Washingtonians and their extraordinary range of work. Washington State History Museum, 1911 Pacific Ave., Tacoma, WA 98402
The 18th Annual Model Train Festival runs from December 21-January 1, though we are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The museum fills with model train displays, including the largest permanent train layout in the state. Santa will be here for family pictures, and the kids can enjoy interactive activities as well as all the intricate model trains.
